1. On Your Device
Windows
- Open the Control Panel → Go to Network and Sharing Center.
- Select your Wi-Fi network → Click Wireless Properties → Switch to the Security tab.
- Check the box to Show Characters to view the password.
macOS
- Open Keychain Access from Applications → Utilities.
- Search for your Wi-Fi network name.
- Double click the network and check Show Password (you might have to enter your Mac admin password).
Android
- Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi.
- Tap the network or "Saved Networks" > select your network.
- On Android 10 or later, you can even see, or share the password using a QR code.
iPhone
- Open Settings > Wi-Fi.
- Tap the listed connected network to view password-sharing options (you will have to share the password with another Apple device).
2. Router Configuration
- Log in to your router with a web browser (usually 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1).
- Make use of admin credentials, found on the back of the router.
- Go to Wireless Settings, where you find the password
3. Inquire from Network Administrator
- When you are at work, at a hotel or public place ask the person who is responsible to provide you with the password
4. Saved Passwords on Account
- If using Google account, or iCloud the passwords may have been synced to the account.
- For Google: Visit passwords.google.com to view saved credentials.
- For iCloud: Sync Keychain on all your devices.
5. Reset Your Router
- If you could not access the password and have permission, reset the router
- After resetting, configure a new password via the router admin panel.
